Description:
Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this individual contributor position is also responsible for providing HR operations support to KP physician and/or executive employees under the guidance of more senior team members. This includes providing HR support directly to physicians and/executives in areas of payroll, compensation, benefits enrollment and administration, on/off-boarding, and new hire orientation. This also includes providing exceptional customer service directly to MDs and/or executives, and answering, resolving, or escalating questions related to payroll issues, deductions, salary, benefits, and leave status.
This role is also responsible for assisting with audits of personnel/compensation-related data elements, statistics, presentations, and/or correspondence to senior leadership. This includes assisting in the development of both recurring and ad hoc reports.
Finally, this position is responsible for reviewing, processing, and calculating various salary actions such as salary changes, compensation adjustments, and rate changes as authorized. This includes maintaining accuracy of systems data and assisting in the resolution of discrepancies as appropriate.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Supports legal, regulatory, and compliance adherence by: assisting in providing others (e.g., clinicians, staff) with information on new or updated organizational and departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures; and performing standard project related work in accordance with established federal, state, and local policies, guidelines, procedures, laws, regulations, and within established service expectations.

  • Assists with efforts to develop policies and procedures by: assisting in data collection to help inform policy development pertaining to applicable functions and scope so that they reflect best practice, quality, and adhere to regulatory requirements, with minimal day to day supervision; and writing internal, function-level policies that adhere to departmental, organizational, and industry guidelines, and standards,

  • with minimal day to day supervision.

  • Assists in monitoring and improving existing processes by: performing processes with general supervision, following defined requirements and accountable for achieving expected results for our customer; maintaining, optimizing, and transforming standard processes to increase efficiency of systems; assisting others in identifying new and/or existing business operating models and innovative approaches to solutions support; collecting data to determine the nature and requirements of process related improvements, with minimal day to day supervision; exchanging updates to project personnel to gather information and implement process improvements, with minimal day to day supervision; and collaborating to draft documentation to communicate updates, changes, or adjustments to function-wide training based on changes to systems, processes, accreditation, or compliance.

  • Assists with project execution and management efforts by: collaborating with stakeholders within their team to ensure the project is successfully executed and project-based changes are implemented, with limited guidance; tracking and reporting project-related activities to ensure expectations are met and risks and issues (e.g., scheduling) are identified and escalated, with limited guidance; and assists in managing relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that all project-related expectations are clarified, understood, documented, and met.

  • Assists strategic business planning and development by: gathering and collating data via interviews, surveys, focus groups, and databases for the purposes of defining initiatives to achieve business objectives and informing key business decisions, with day to day supervision; documenting project inputs, requirements, and potential risks in strategic project plans, with day to day supervision; and collaborating within and across teams to align on routine project deliverables and timelines.

  • Supports training by: assisting in the development of training requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards with limited guidance; coordinating the delivery of training programs to stakeholders; and developing standard project-based training curriculum for a wide variety of operations related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum one (1) year health care operations experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent AND Minimum three (3)years of experience in data analytics, healthcare business operations or business process analytics, project management or a directly related field OR Minimum two (2) years of experience in data analytics, healthcare business operations or business process analytics, project management or a directly related field.

  • One (1) year experience working with Excel.
  • One (1) year experience in benefits administration, requiring direct client or customer service delivery.
