Description:
Job Summary:

Review and abstract paper and electronic medical records using HEDIS Technical Specifications as it relates to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washingtons clinical quality initiatives. Perform accurate data entry as well as seek out patterns of missing documentation of additional records. Meet organizational standards of proper turnaround time for HEDIS record review. Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Successfully complete required training, testing and quality assessments, accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review services, scan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performed, upload scanned medical records daily, communicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilities.

  • May be asked to travel to medical facilities in specified area of region to complete review services.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience


  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with hands-on medical record review.

Education

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Driver's License (Washington)
Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and pay close attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Auto insurance required by date of hire/transfer.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience with hands-on medical record review.
  • One (1) year of work experience as a clinician.
