Description:
The Supply Chain Analyst conducts analysis of supplies and services spend, generates trend reports, develops management reports utilizing multiple databases and systems, and supports the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine budgeting process. The Analyst works closely with KPSOM Finance regarding process improvements and to resolve procurement issues.The Analyst participates in projects and process development activities related to product, services and capital spending.
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst conducts analysis of supplies and services spend, generates trend reports, develops management reports utilizing multiple databases and systems, and supports the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine budgeting process. The Analyst works closely with KPSOM Finance regarding process improvements and to resolve procurement issues.The Analyst participates in projects and process development activities related to product, services and capital spending.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyzes KPSOM product and services spend by category and department.
- Monitors actual supply spend versus budgeted and provides supply spend input for departmental budgeting.
- Develops dashboards including trending and budget variance visuals.
- Works closely with KPSOM Finance regarding process improvements and to resolve procurement issues.
- Analyzes product requirements on monthly basis.
- Researches supply chain questions or related spend/budget discrepancies by reviewing historical data.
- Projects and Processes:
- Leads procurement project planning and implementation activities.
- Identifies opportunities for business or process improvement and makes associated recommendations as appropriate.
- Develops and documents supply chain process flows.
- Provides technical support to requisitioners and interfaces with buyers.
- Provides guidance to end users and implements department processes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Uses standard project management methods and techniques for technology and administrative projects related to supply chain operations and may span functional areas and involve other KP entities.
- Escalates project issues to management when needed and may identify risks and participate in mitigation activities.
- Participates on KP Product Councils as appropriate.
- Maintains relationships with peers in KP Regional and National roles.
- Operational:
- Researches and identify KP standard products for purchases.
- Serves as backup for product requisitioning and/or receiving functions as appropriate.
- Serves as backup to track orders and update requesters as needed.
- Participates in KP Buy-to-Pay projects as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure forecasted supply levels and oversee low-unit-of-measure replenishment processes.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience in operations, project management or financial analysis.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Healthcare, or related discipline.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrable understanding of process flows.
- Demonstrable organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and data base management, Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of collaboration software such as Teams or Zoom.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of operations, project management or financial analysis experience.
- Experience with project management software.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or related certification.
- Masters Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Pay Range: $80600 - $104280 / year
