To timely meet the need for linen at the end user department level. To accurately deliver linen to assigned storage areas. To replenish primary locations on an as needed basis. To answer calls for linen needs from end user departments in a timely manner consistent with department policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receives, identifies, counts and sorts all linen and garments. Inspects, sorts and distribute all linen to requesting departments in Hospital and outlying areas. Inventories, delivers and replenishes all linen carts. Maintains accurate records of linen deliveries and inventories. Responds to all stat requests for linen for the facility. Performs data entry using appropriate software as needed. Performs follow up on deliveries and other related duties as needed.
Grade 120
Experience in a Linen and Laundry department with emphasis on inventory management. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and transport heavy linen carts as required. Must be able to work in a labor / management partnership environment.
